Chapter by Donald R. Clymer, "Conversion from Ethnic Mennonite to a Convinced Anabaptist: Lessons for a Christianity in a Post-Christendom 21st Century"
This chapter gives a personal testimony of the author's life-long struggle to embody the ideals of Anabaptism. The narrative follows the author's journey from being an ethnic Mennonite to becoming a convinced Anabaptist; from being embarrassed to being radicalized; from embracing liberation theology and the social gospel to undertaking an inner journey of contemplation and prayer; from claiming a simple faith to acknowledging an eclectic mix of spirituality that could serve as a “Third Way” response to a post-Christendom world of the 21st century.
